ONE TREE HILL STORY Maungakiekie – One Tree Hill Maungakieie is located in a 425-acre park in Auckland, New Zealand, where our owner grew up.
At one time the largest Maori Pa (fort) offering the King, Kiwi Tamaki, views of both harbors on either side of the island.
Maungakiekie, now is the home to a memorial showing respect to the Maori people along with the grave of a wealthy and influential pakeha (English descendant).
The land was at one time taken by the government but was returned to the Maori people in 2014.
Our owner Lynda Webber, is a Maori descendent.
Lynda Webber began her career in her homeland of New Zealand, moving to the United States in 1989. She managed the IT division at a large engineering and architectural firm prior to moving to Oregon, where she held many positions including owning her own business in Portland.
Lynda accepted a position as executive assistant at Hood River Distillers in 1998 to be closer to her family. Her career continued there by serving as administration manager, vice president and general manager, and finally president and chief operating officer over a 20-year period.
Lynda brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Human Resources and Business Leadership to her business.
